The European swing ended exactly where it had to end: with Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello lifting the trophy. The world No. 1s came back against Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger (4-6 6-3 6-2) at the Allianz Cloud to win the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 — their fourth consecutive title (Paris, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan), their twelfth of the season and their eighteenth straight win. In the women's draw, Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero recovered from 2-5 down against Paula Josemaría and Bea González to win 7-6(3) 6-3 in 1h49: a fifth title of the year and a place in history for Ari.
Lebrón and Augsburger ruled… until nobody did
The men's final delivered the match that Saturday's 0-6 comeback had promised. Lebrón and Augsburger came out firing and took the first set 6-4, with a break in the fifth game and a brutal offensive tally — 33 winners to 20 — against No. 1s who managed just one break point in the entire set.
The turning point came in the third game of the second set: three break points for the No. 3s… none converted. Tapia and Coello survived, broke in the very next game (3-1), and from there the match changed owners: 4 unforced errors from the champions in the second set against 10 from their rivals, and a 6-3 that forced the decider.
In the third, a break in the opening game and another escape — three more missed break chances for Lebrón and Augsburger in the sixth game — before the final 6-2. It was the tenth meeting between the two pairs in 2026: ninth win for Tapia and Coello against a single defeat, the Brussels final in April — the only pair to beat them in a title match this year. The revenge could not have come on a better stage: the Golden Boys repeat their Milan 2024 title and head to Kuwait with the Race all but sealed.
Ari Sánchez, 58 titles: the club of three
The women's final would have a tie-break, and the tie-break had a story to tell. Josemaría and Bea González controlled the first set (5-2) with authority, but Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero recovered the break, levelled at five and took the shootout 7-3. In the second set, a break in the second game and 6-3 to close the final in 1h49.
"In the first set it was mainly on me to raise my level: I started very passively. Ángel [González, their coach] asked us for more tactical focus and more legs. When I'm more active I go after the ball earlier and I'm quicker on court. I think that was the key," Ari explained after the match.
The title reads two ways. In the short term, the pair's fifth of the season and third in their last four tournaments, cutting the gap in the battle for the women's world No. 1 spot to 1,980 points in the FIP Race. In the history books, trophy number 58 of Ari Sánchez's professional career: the Catalan joins Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar as the most decorated player in professional women's padel.
"It's a pleasure to share this spot with Gemma and Alejandra, two tremendous players. It means I'm doing things right, working hard and trusting my team," said Ari, who dedicated the record to her parents: "When I was little, they used to drive me to tournaments. They've always been there."
Josemaría and Bea, fresh from their Düsseldorf title, fall at the last hurdle again and are still waiting for their seventh trophy of the year.
