The European swing ends here: today, Sunday 18 October, the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 closes the season's penultimate P1 at the Allianz Cloud with a double bill from 15:00 CEST (10:00 in Argentina): the women's final first, the men's right after. At stake: €479,068 in prize money and 1,000 FIP points per draw for the champions. And both finals come with their own storylines: a rematch of the Brussels final in the men's draw and a battle for the women's throne with three pairs still mathematically in the race for year-end No. 1.
The 0-6 that woke the Wolf
The semi-final between Galán-Chingotto and Lebrón-Augsburger was two matches in one. The first, an exhibition by the world No. 2s: 6-0 in 29 minutes with 74% of points won, 85% behind their first serve and a perfect 100% behind the second. The second, the most serious comeback of the tournament: 0-6 6-2 6-2 in an hour and 24 minutes, with Lebrón and Augsburger taking 72% of the points in the second set and 67% in the third.
«At that moment we stopped doubting ourselves and started playing. I think that's when our best padel comes out», Lebrón said after the match.
The man from El Puerto de Santa María returns to a Milan final three years later: he won the 2022 and 2023 editions alongside Galán, and the Allianz Cloud remains the court where he has lifted the most trophies. For Leo Augsburger it is the first P1 final of his career; together they have only won one title, April's Brussels P2 — and they won it precisely against the pair waiting for them today.
Tapia-Coello: fourth final of the swing and Coello's 300
In the other semi-final, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello once again had the measure of Stupaczuk-Sanz (6-4 6-3 in 1h18), their third meeting in three weeks after the Rotterdam and Düsseldorf finals. The win leaves two record numbers behind: the world No. 1s are on a 17-match winning streak, and Coello has become the first player to reach 300 wins on the Premier Padel tour.
«Individual awards do not interest us», the Valladolid native told the press, focused on the team.
Champions in Milan in 2024, the Golden Boys today chase a fourth consecutive title on the European swing — Paris, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan—, their twelfth of 2026 and another step towards closing the year as No. 1, where they lead Galán-Chingotto by 2,200 points in the Race. Across the net stands the pair that came back on them in the Brussels final (2-6 6-3 6-3): the only one that already knows what it takes to beat them on a Sunday with a trophy on the line.
Ari-Ustero vs Josemaría-Bea: the Rotterdam final, again
The women's draw repeats the line-up from the Ahoy two weeks ago. Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero swept past the world No. 1s, Triay-Brea, 6-1 6-4 in 1h15: the third time in a row they beat them on this swing and their fourth consecutive final — Paris, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan—, with two titles already bagged (the Paris Major and Rotterdam).
Paula Josemaría and Bea González booked their spot the hard way: 6-2 7-6 over Fernández-Calvo, the exact rematch of the Düsseldorf final the young pair won a week ago. And with an image for the ages: the match point lasted more than two minutes, all four players defending and lobbing, until Paula closed it out with a decisive smash.
Ari and Ustero won the Rotterdam final (6-4 6-4); in Brussels, back in April, Perlamita clinched their third straight title there. Today there is also a throne at stake: with the final and four tournaments to go, Triay-Brea, Ari-Ustero and Josemaría-Bea all remain in mathematical contention for year-end No. 1. Whoever lifts the diamond ring takes a giant step.
