Today, Sunday, October 11, the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2 (Castello Düsseldorf, €264,534 in prize money) wraps up its week with finals day: two matches on Centre Court from 14:00 Spanish time (09:00 in Argentina), both on Red Bull TV. Both finals come with their own story: the men's is the exact rematch of last week's Rotterdam final, and the women's pits the circuit's most in-form pair against the pair behind the comeback of the season.
Tapia-Coello vs Stupa-Sanz: the Rotterdam rematch
Saturday's men's semi-finals put the favourites in the final, but through very different paths. Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello left no room for Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger: 6-2 6-3 in 1h05, their third win of the week (after 6-2 6-3 over Diestro-Sintes and 6-2 7-5 over Alfonso-Libaak in the quarter-finals). The No. 1s reach their third straight final — after the Paris Major and the Rotterdam P2 — with a 69-7 record in the 2026 season.
On the other side are Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz, who once again beat Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto 7-6(3) 6-4 (1h56, closing the night in Düsseldorf). It is their second straight win over the No. 2s, after the 6-4 6-4 in the Rotterdam quarter-finals. The 2025 champions in Germany miss out on a repeat and miss a Premier Padel final for the second straight tournament.
Today's final is, literally, last week's in Rotterdam Ahoy: Tapia-Coello already beat Stupa-Sanz 6-3 6-2 in Rotterdam — their tenth title of 2026 — and lead 1-0 in their head-to-head as a pair. What's at stake: the Golden Boys chase an 11th title of the year and the Paris-Rotterdam-Düsseldorf European treble; Stupa and Jon go for their first title together after three straight finals (they lost the FIP Platinum Lyon final and the Rotterdam one). "We like playing on Sundays! I hope this win is the start of something big," Stupa warned after the Rotterdam semi-finals.
Sánchez-Ustero chase the treble; Calvo-Fernández pulled off the comeback of the year
In the women's draw, Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero once again knocked out the No. 1s: 7-5 3-6 7-5 over Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea, for the third time this season in a semi-final (after Valladolid and Rotterdam). Paris Major and Rotterdam champions, the pair chase today their third straight title and fifth of the season.
Their opponents will be Martina Calvo and Claudia Fernández, authors of Saturday's epic: 6-4 5-7 7-6(5) in 3h07 against Paula Josemaría and Bea González, saving two match points in a battle decided in the third-set tie-break. The London P1 champions — the youngest pair ever to win a Premier Padel title — thus take revenge for the Rotterdam semi-finals, where Josemaría-González had beaten them 6-3 6-4.
