Laver Cup 2026 in London: the racquets of the two teams

The ninth edition of the Laver Cup takes place this weekend at The O2 in London (September 25-27): three days, twelve matches and tennis's two "national teams" — Europe against the rest of the world — battling to be first to 13 points (if tied after 12 matches, a deciding doubles set is played). It returns to the British capital, where Roger Federer played his final professional match in 2022, with Yannick Noah (Europe) and Andre Agassi (World) as captains, Agassi's team defending the title they won in San Francisco 2025 by a commanding 15-9. No other tournament puts so many manufacturers on one court: London will feature 12 racquets from 5 brands (5 HEAD, 3 Wilson, 2 Yonex, 1 Babolat and Bublik's Diadem), and five of those players use models that are already in our catalog. Let's break down the arsenal of both teams.

Europe: Alcaraz, Zverev and the generational handover

Alexander Zverev lands in London 12 days after lifting the US Open (6-3 7-6(2) 5-7 6-2 vs Shelton), his second Grand Slam of the year after Roland Garros. Rest of the World: Fritz, De Minaur's Ultra and Bublik's Diadem

Taylor Fritz is the man who gave Agassi's team the title in San Francisco: first he beat then-No. 1 Alcaraz — his first career win over him — and then sealed the trophy by winning the last match against Zverev (official Laver Cup report). That makes Wilson the only brand with players on both teams... with a curious caveat: Tien's racquet is an unreleased, non-retail mold (confirmed by Tennisnerd), so neither his frame nor De Minaur's has a direct store equivalent.

Brandon Nakashima, 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals champion and this year's National Bank Open finalist in Toronto, makes his Laver Cup debut with the Yonex VCORE 98 — Yonex VCORE 98 (8th gen)from 236,95 € —, the spin-and-control frame he shares with Hubert Hurkacz (sources: iq.tennis, Tennisnerd).

The tournament's curiosity is Alexander Bublik: the Kazakh, No. 16 in the world with a ceiling of No. 10 in January 2026, is the only player on the roster not using a big-brand racquet. Since this year he plays with the Diadem Project Bublik 98, his signature frame developed with US brand Diadem — which boasts that a top-20 player competes with a racquet "you can buy" (source: diademsports.com). He makes his debut in the competition.
